Jen was born on August 3, 1973, in Dubuque, Iowa, daughter of Richard and Monica (Juno) Barker.

Jen graduated from Dubuque Senior High School. She was employed with several places throughout the years including Tri-State Golf Center, Bodine’s, Spectrum Counter Tops and Bunker Hill. In her free time, Jen liked shooting pool, bowling, trying her luck at the casino, or just sitting pool side enjoying a beautiful day. Jen was brought up at the race track with her dad, and was an avid racing fan. She also looked forward to hitting the open road on the Harley, or in the car, for a scenic day trip. Jen was a social butterfly and loved to connect with new people in person and through Facebook. Jen’s first priority was her beautiful daughter Brianna, who was truly her pride and joy. We are heartbroken at losing Jen in our daily lives, and she will be missed more than words can possibly express.

  1. Brooke says:

Jen 😢 Where do I begin, it started with kindergarten best friends, to grade school bowling on Saturday mornings, to hide and seek and dodge ball in our neighborhood, sleepovers, and birthday parties, Sunday night races, air guitars, thru junior high , our first crushes , teen lines to making it to High school together, our 21st birthdays and being able to stand up at your weddings and for the birth of your pride and joy your daughter my god child Brianna❤️ you and I have been like sisters/best friends our entire lives, over 40 years of friendship. We’ve been through everything together in this thing we call life. We shared good times and bad times but no matter what we were always there for each other.

Although our paths went separate ways these last 5 years and our friendship was more of a tough love, we still never went more than a month or two without talking, or a visit to check In and see how you were. 😢 There was something special about our friendship Jen, our Love was unconditional.
The only rhyme or reason I can come up with to make any sense of your passing is you are finally at peace and happy again seeing your mom and Vickie❤️ I know myself along with everyone that knew you through out their life WILL remember the fun loving, a lil crazy, 😂 compassionate caring person that would go out of her way to help anyone!!!
My heart is shattered Jen, you do and always will have a special place in my heart and as we all try to process this and find peace, just know you WILL live on in our hearts, minds, and souls. Until we see each other again ❤️ I love you More ❤️
( Your memory is my keepsake, which I’ll never part, they got you up In Heaven, but I got you in my heart) make sure you give my mom and sister a big hug ❤️ I’m sure the 4 of you are having a blast playing BINGO 🥰
