Luana M. Perry

Luana M. Perry, age 67, of Dubuque, passed away at 7:15 a.m. on Monday, September 7, 2020, at ManorCare Health Services. To celebrate Luana’s life, private family services were held. Burial will be in Center Grove Cemetery following cremation. Behr Funeral Home, 1491 Main Street, is in charge of arrangements.

Luana was born on July 22, 1953, in Dubuque, Iowa, daughter of Paul and Virginia (Manuel) Perry.

Luana graduated from high school and went on to attend Clarke College where she studied social work. She was employed with Goodwill, ARC and the Gannon Center. In her free time, Luana enjoyed researching family tree history and scrapbooking her findings to share with others. She also liked to put together puzzles, pay card games and work on crossword puzzles. Luana especially loved spending time with all of her nieces and nephews. Luana’s faith was very important to her, and she was an active member of Faith Temple United Pentecostal Church. Luana will be greatly missed by all who knew and loved her.

Luana was preceded in death by her parents; her son, Michael A. Perry; 2 sisters, Pamela Perry and Jodie Perry; a brother, Rick Perry; a brother-in-law, Herb Goerdt; and a nephew, Adam Goerdt.

    Luana was an amazing person-she was my supervisor for a time when I worked for Goodwill. She was the kindest, most caring person who always put others first.
