Tamra S. “Tammy” (Ransford) Howard
Tamra S. “Tammy” Howard, age 61, of Dubuque, passed away at 4:30 a.m., on Wednesday, August 25, 2021, at Sunnycrest Manor. To celebrate Tammy’s life, private family services were held. Burial will be in Linwood Cemetery at a later date. Behr Funeral Home, 1491 Main Street, is assisting the family.
Tammy was born on October 25, 1959, in Dubuque, Iowa, daughter of Neil and Darlene (Meyer) Ransford.
Tammy attended Dubuque Senior High School and graduated from art school in Milwaukee. After school, she did in-home daycare and also bartended at several places on the side. Tammy truly treasured all of the time she spent caring for the babies and children. In her free time, Tammy enjoyed watching movies, crocheting and reading romance novels. She also liked to spend time outside enjoying the sunshine, with swimming and playing softball being some of her favorite activities. Her faith was also very important to her, and she regularly attended services at St. John Lutheran Church until health issues prevented her from getting out. There was no doubt how much Tammy loved her family, and spending time with them was always her top priority. She was a people person and served as Vice President of the Social Committee at Sunnycrest Manor. She will be greatly missed by all who knew and loved her.
