Welcome
to the Behr Funeral Home Website! Thank you for
visiting!
Behr Funeral Home was founded by Norbert and Mary Behr and
opened for business in October of 1936, at 1832 Central Avenue in
Dubuque. In 1948, they purchased the Alexander Young Home,
which remains our current location, at 1491 Main
Street. In 1974 their daughter, Kathy (Behr) Conlon, joined
them as a licensed funeral director. Her son, Kevin, has also
followed in their footsteps and is now a third generation funeral
director.
We are a full service funeral home providing traditional services,
as well as cremation and memorial services. We can also
accommodate your family with services at your place of
worship if you are more comfortable there. We're able
to create a custom DVD to highlight special moments from
your family's past. We encourage you to make our
home your own by bringing in personal items such as quilts,
collectibles or items that represent hobbies your loved one
enjoyed. Our mission is to assist you in creating a unique
celebration of their life and the memories you will
cherish forever.

We invite you to browse through our site and learn more
about us. We are very proud of our tradition, our facilities, our
staff and the services that we provide.
